6 x 6 inches - oil on gessoboard - This is 'Katherine', a peony that has a wonderful habit of occasionally throwing a dark pink ribbon at the edges of the petals.

Angel Cheeks

6 x 8 - Oil on Gessoboard - Here is another peony. These modern varieties are not your Grandmother's floppy ones. This one is called Angel Cheeks.

Do Tell

6 x 6 inches - oil on hardboard  Do Tell is the name of this peony. The colours really stand out from a distance. I have not posted for a little while due to medical issues, now in recovery but I am going to post a few peony portraits that I did before.  Here is the first of them.

Petroglyphs

6 x 6 inches - oil on hardboard - There are petroglyphs near us. Unfortunately, a building had to be constructed over them for their protection.  This painting is an homage to those ancient painters who created images for others to see. I would not dare to hope that my paintings will survive as long as these.

Shopping

6 x 8 inches - oil on gessoboard - My brother lives in Orlando and while visiting him and his family we often take a stroll in the local shopping area, not that we could afford any of the merchandise except perhaps an ice cream cone or two. But it is a very pleasant place for a walk and people watching.

Greenhouse At The Toronto Botanical Garden

6 x 6 inches - oil on hardboard - We regularly visit the Toronto Botanical Garden. These are the greenhouses where the gardeners do stuff. We are not sure what they do in there because they won't let us in to see.
