Hawaii Lookout

9 x 12 inches - oil on hardboard - If you take the road across the island of Kauai and you have good viewing weather, you will see amazing views from the lookouts on the way up.

Hanakapi'ai

8 x 6 inches - oil on gessoboard - Here is the same subject with a different approach. If you don't experiment a bit you will never find out if something else will work better for you. For some reason, I had a devil of a time with reflections when I tried to photograph this one.

Hanakapi'ai Falls

8 x 6 inches - oil on gessoboard - This is one of the falls on the damper side of the big island of Hawaii. The walk down to see it is as interesting as the falls itself.

Cutting Oil

10 x 8 inches - oil on gessoboard - I have not posted for a while because we were vacationing in Hawaii. Expect to see tropical in your future.  Meanwhile, here is one I did before leaving. There is an area near Kitchener Ontario where the farmers work 'old school', cutting out oil all together.

Canna Lily

8 x 10 inches - Oil on Gessoboard - The flowers on canas are pretty but the foliage is the best part.

Taken For Granite

6 x 8 inches - oil on gessoboard - I did this from a photo that I took when I was in Nova Scotia.  I am not a geologist but I assume these rocks were granite.

Waiting For The Bus

8 x 10 inches - oil on linen panel - I took a while  working this one out by moving things around with my computer. I like the idea that while the people have a common purpose, they are in their own worlds.
