Seascape

oil on cradled hardboard 48 x 36. I just completed this larger painting after setting a challenge for myself of creating a convincing seascape. I have always been drawn to paintings of the sea. When I started the painting, it seemed to need to be large, now all I have to do is find somewhere to put it.

Sweetpea

6 x 6 oil on gessobord. In one of the gardens we visited this summer, the only thing I could find that I liked was this sweetpea growing among the weeds so this is what I have painted.

Hydrangea

6 x 6 oil on gessobord. This hydrangea is the third in a series of flower portraits. They have given me a chance to try out some new brushes.

Frans Hals Daylily

6 x 6 oil on gessobord. Daylilies are one of the easiest plants to grow. Frans Hals is my favourite and not just because it is named after a painter.

Copper

16 x 20 oil on hardboard.  This is Copper the wonder dog going for a dip in the river.

White and Purple Iris

6 x 6 oil on gessobord.  I decided to paint a number of individual flower portraits.  This is the first one. I hope you like it.

Sunset on Little Lake

6 x 8 oil on canvas board. You can take a boat cruise on Little Lake in Peterborough.  The boat docks while you watch the evening concert on shore.  Before the concert starts you get great views of the lake.
