8 x 10 inches - oil on canvas board - There are so many chickens running around Hawaii that you wouldn't think anyone would go hungry. It was explained to me that how you cook one of these chickens is you get a big pot of water and put the chicken in with a rock. You boil for a day and a half and then throw away the chicken and eat the rock.

Jungle Chicken

6 x 6 inches - oil on gessoboard - These are not your factory chickens or even your grandmother's barnyard chickens. In Hawaii, they are wild birds like blue jays or crows.

Feral Chicken

6 x 6 inches - oil on gessoboard - Chickens are common on Hawaii. They do not get couped up but run around everywhere. To us they were endearing but I have a feeling the locals found them a bit irritating.

There is Nobody Here but Us Chickens
