At The Bend In Sherbrooke Street

6 x 6 inches - oil on hardboard - This is just down the hill from us. Some mornings the sun blasts right in your eyes but on a grey morning, the scene is interesting especially when the apple tree is in bloom.

Dinner Cruise

6 x 8 inches - oil on gessoboard - I am not even sure this was a dinner cruise but its from a photo I took in Key Largo of tourists getting taken out where they could best see the sunset. The image brings back the time and place for me, which I guess it is all about.

Spiraea On The Hill

6 x 6 inches - oil on gessoboard - Our Spiraea has now finished flowering.  It looks great from a distance but I am not a fan of the smell or the work it takes to prune.  These are the stairs to the part of our garden we call bucket hill because everything has to be carried up and down in a bucket.

Store on the Corner

6 x 8 inches - oil on hardboard - this is an unusual store on the corner in Stratford and when the light shines on it in the morning it stands out from the other buildings.

Old York Street Kitchen

8 x 10 inches - oil on gessoboard - In Stratford, there used to be a lunch counter on York Street and while you could get a table inside if you were lucky, it was better to take a sandwich at the window and eat it in the park across the street. The business has moved to another location in the town but the building is still there and posed some challenges to paint.  I was trying to get the look of old brick without having to paint every brick.

House Across the Road

8 x 10 inches - Oil on Gessoboard - Every morning it struck me the way the light hit the house across from our B and B when we were staying in Stratford. When I got home, I had to paint it.

Legacy B and B

6 x 6 inches - oil on gessoboard - We recently made one of our annual pilgrimages to Stratford to spend some time with friends and family and to see some great theatre, and of course to indulge in good food and conversation. This is the b and b we stayed at.
